These photos were taken at just a few days old. I decided to keep her as I had never quite seen this type of coloring on a goat and I was curious to see what color she would grow up to be.
As she grew, Nadia's coat color seemed to lighten and darken, depending on the season. In these photos, you can see where her coat fades from light beige to dark beige, then of course the black coat color. These photos were taken in June, 2011.
Nadia's coat has turned quite dark as she grew into her winter coat and became an adult. The photo on the left was taken in the fall of 2012, and the photo on the right was taken in January, 2013.
Her coat coloring is just beautiful, changing as it does from one color to the next. It will be interesting to see if she lightens up again during the summer of 2013.
A Coat of Many Colors
Nadia had a very interesting coat color when she was born. It had a sort of dark highlight, not easily picked up by the camera but I was able to get some photos showing the coloring.
